A Thank You

Hunter, Michelle,and I would like to thank all of you for making Hunters first Christmas a very special one. While I'd love to post all of our pictures from the Holidays but, I have soooo many!
In Hunters 6 1/2 months we have learned to enjoy everyday more than the day before. We also learned that rechargeable batteries are the best.

Visiting with Pops and Nana

Michelle had some unexpected female surgery the end of September, so Hunter got to please his Pops and Nana for a few days. Here are a few pictures from that time. Michelle has fully recovered and everything is fine. :-)

1 BIG Day

Hunter had a BIG Day and weekend. We finished the last of the baby showers yesterday and I want to say a huge thanks to all for every thing and all of the well wishes. Today we went to dads family reunion!!! We had a great time and Hunter got to meet a lot of his cousins and especially his Great Aunt !! But, daddy had to go on shift at 6 pm so we had to leave early. Hunter is in bed getting ready for a good week. My guy had a BIG day. G'nite to all, Pete

Hunter's 2 Month Check - Up!!
Hunter is a healthy, happy boy! He now weighs 7lbs. 1oz. and is 19" long! :) He is now in new born and 0 to 3 months clothes.Hunter is eating 3 to 4 oz at a time and is eating about every 3 to 4 hours. He loves to smile and look around. And, pee and poop on Mom and Dad! But, that's ok we are loving being parents.

Some Thoughts

I don't feel this blog would be right unless I put some thoughts on the family Hunter was with until the legal mumbo jumbo was taken care of. I have said it from the time I met them and still do today and I will into the future., they are truly a gift from God. We can never express our gratitude to them for taking care of Hunter. They also have 4 other children placed and a 1 month old was placed yesterday! I have come to the conclusion that if every family was like them the foster system would be much MUCH better. They will always be in our thoughts and prayers.

WELCOME HOME HUNTER !!!!!!!!!!!

Hunter is home now ! : ) The paperwork delay is over and we are VERY happy and relieved that he is finally here. We are excited to no end. Our lives will never be the same and we love it.

Progressing along nicely

Things for the growing Winters family are progressing along nicely. They've had 2 more overnights this week with sweet Hunter. Hopefully, Monday they'll have the court approved custody papers in the right hands and Hunter will be able to be with them from then on. :-) Here are a couple pictures from this week. Michelle and Pete are wonderful parents!!!

Overnight from Dads eyes

From a new Dads eyes... I am a very hard sleeper. When I sleep nothing wakes me, I have to be pushed out of bed to answer a call for the Fire Dept. Then Hunter came home for a visit. I woke at any noise and was up with Michelle for all the overnight feedings. This is just one of the many life changing things that I had a preview. So with happy tears in my eyes and from the bottom of my heart I can say with out a doubt, I can't wait until he comes home.

Overnight visit!!

Sweet baby got an overnight visit with Michelle and Pete on Friday night and until 5pm on Saturday. There will be move visitation until the custody hearing, which could be sooner than August 2nd.

Paperwork Delay...hang on Hunter, Mommy and Daddy are coming

There was a paperwork delay at the court house. The new "baby day" is August 2nd. Things are still very positive, we just have a little more waiting.

Hunter's Baby Quilt

Here's a quilt that I made for sweet Hunter. Everything is going well toward the custody hearing Thursday. I'm heading to Tulsa for the Usborne Books National Convention in a couple hours. I'll be eager to return home on Sunday to see our grandson! :-)

Everything is looking GREAT now!

The custody hearing for Michelle and Pete is Thursday, July 19th and everything is looking fantastic for them to bring him home that day. The state is working with them to make this happen now. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers!! :-)

Positive thoughts and prayers please

Hi.
Things have hit a few bumps in the road and it's not quite as "for sure" as it was before. It's still possible that Michelle & Pete might get him. There is a custody hearing on 7/19. Thanks for your positive thoughts and prayers.

Here are a couple more pictures. Hunter's feeding tube was removed on Saturday and he's doing great eating....especially if it's Michelle or Pete feeding him. He eats better when they're feeding him than the nurses. :-)
